The School of Nursing project is located on the Duke University campus in Durham, NC. Adams Electric Company was selected during the final design stage of the project and worked closely with the General Contractor and Design Team for coordination and to keep the project within budget.
The project is a freestanding 56,000 square foot 3-Story building consisting of classrooms and an auditorium. The facility is served by a 1200 Amp 480Y / 277V Service with a 60 KW Emergency Generator and included Fire Alarm, Security Card Access, Lightning Protection and installation of Telecommunication Wiring.
The project had a 15 Month duration and was completed on schedule in July of 2006. The facility received a LEED certification from the U.S Green Building Council.
